Job Summary The Certification Program Developer is responsible for managing all the efforts around the development, delivery, and maintenance of IAPP Certification Exams as well as ensuring the exams comply with ISO 17024/2012 standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop, edit, revise, and validate, new exam items Build and maintain exams and item banks in Exam Developer system Perform annual content updates to exams using psychometric principles and information provided by Psychometric vendor Maintain and update the support materials for each certification, including bodies of knowledge and exam blueprints Manage the activities of the exam development boards Facilitate item writing workshops Create training materials for item writers Manage and assist the Certification Director in supporting the growth of new certification programs Manage special projects, as assigned, that support the continued improvement of the department’s exam development processes Develop a Job Task Survey every three years Help to remediate appeals and complaints regarding exam content Assist with annual internal audit to support ANAB accreditation Travel to IAPP events to may be required Promote IAPP culture and core values Additional Duties Additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experienced with item banking software and computer-based testing concepts.
