MathWorks is seeking a CES/AERO Sales Team Manager to lead and grow our business with key accounts across the Communications, Electronics, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense sectors in Korea.This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a high-performing sales team, developing strategic customer relationships, and executing account and territory plans across key industries. The successful candidate will work closely with Application Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Services teams to accelerate customer success, expand the adoption of MathWorks solutions, and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities
The Korea CES/AERO Sales Team Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and business development across the Communications, Electronics, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense industries in Korea. The role will lead a team of Field Sales professionals and work closely with Application Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Services teams to accelerate customer adoption and business growth.
The CES/AERO Sales Team Manager will develop and execute account and territory strategies aligned with MathWorks' business objectives. He/she will be responsible for building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, driving strategic opportunities, and ensuring consistent execution across the sales cycle. The manager will provide leadership, coaching, and development to the sales team while fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
This role will establish operational rigor around pipeline development, funnel management, forecasting, and account planning. The successful candidate will lead regular business reviews, identify growth opportunities, mitigate business risks, and drive forecast accuracy. He/she will be expected to effectively leverage a matrix-based organization, collaborating with both local and global stakeholders to deliver compelling solutions that address customers' engineering and business challenges.
The CES/AERO Sales Team Manager will actively engage with executives and decision-makers at customer organizations, serving as a role model for solution selling and strategic account management. He/she will support complex sales opportunities and help position MathWorks as a trusted partner for model-based design, simulation, software development, AI, and systems engineering initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and strong people leader who can balance long-term business growth with operational excellence. He/she will contribute to the broader Korea and APAC sales leadership teams while driving sustained growth across the Communications, Electronics, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense markets in Korea.

Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required. 2 years management experience is required.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading and developing sales teams in a matrix environment while driving business growth within the Communications, Electronics, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense industries. Possessing a hands-on leadership style and a passion for customer success, the ideal candidate can translate strategy into measurable business results while effectively coaching and developing a high-performing sales team.
The successful candidate should demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Proven record that consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and strategic business objectives.
- Demonstrated success selling technology solutions to major accounts in the Communications, Electronics, Semiconductor, Aerospace, and Defense sectors, with experience engaging customers such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDI, LG Energy Solution, LG Electronics, Hanhwa Aerospace, Hanwha Systems, LIG Nex1 and other major industry leaders.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with engineering, R&D, and business decision-makers at key customer accounts.
- Comfortable working in an international matrix organization and effectively balancing local business needs with corporate initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across Sales, Application Engineering, Customer Success, Services, and Marketing organizations.
- Strong customer-facing leadership skills with experience engaging senior management on strategic business and technical initiatives.
- Passion for coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing sales talent.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong consultative and solution-selling capabilities.
- High energy, results-oriented, and driven to identify and capture new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within technology-related industries.
- Experience selling technology-oriented products, software solutions, or engineering tools to technical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.
