Sol Aerial Surveys is a nationwide aerial survey company that provides a multi engine platform across North America. We hold true to our core values: Safety, Hard Work, Integrity and “The Little Things Matter”. The Aerial Survey Pilot utilizes mapping or photographic equipment while operating an aircraft. The Aerial Survey Pilot is assigned areas to fly over and capture images or record data, all while safely operating company aircraft. Pilots are expected to fly in all aircraft-capable weather conditions and congested airspace. The position requires the effective planning, and execution of aerial survey flights in various controlled airspace; as well as the overall management of company aircraft. Benefits Home-Based 16 days on and 12 off rotation structure Pay Above Industry Standard Generous Hotel Allowance and Per Diem Company-Paid Travel Expenses and Rental Car Health Insurance Options (Medical, Dental, and Vision) 401k with Company Match Instrument Currency Program Industry leading in-house training program Cross-country flying and experience navigating diverse weather patterns and complex airspace Monthly Health and Wellness Credit Advancement opportunities and at home work projects available Dynamic Team Environment What You'll Do Fly planes located anywhere in the lower 48 or Canada Operate Multi-Engine Aircraft Single Pilot Manage the aircrafts movements and airports cross country Maintain a clean internal and external aircraft Complete daily forms about aircraft and plane condition Work with Flight Operations and in house Maintenance team on decision making Work with maintenance facilities throughout the country to maintain a safe aircraft Work above 8,000’ AGL Including Class A Flights as long as 8 hours over large metropolitan areas Navigate high traffic airspaces, restricted and prohibited airspace and the SFRA Eat lots of Chipotle (Probably) Required Qualifications FAA Commercial Multi-Engine FAA Instrument Rating (Current and proficient) High Performance Endorsement Complex Endorsement First Class or Second Class Medical Valid Driver’s License Current passport with at least six-months of validity remaining at time of employment. Legal right to work in the United States Must be able to travel freely within the United States and without restriction to all countries Sol Aerial Survey serves 650 Total Time in an Aircraft 40 hours of MEL at time of hire (This is an insurance requirement and cannot be waived) FCC Radio License Multi Engine Night Current and proficient at time of hire Preferred Qualifications 80+ hours of MEL Piston Caravan Time A&P Time Prior Survey Experience CFI/CFII/MEI Next Steps Fill out the required information below.
