Contract: Permanent / Full Time
Salary: Due to the variety of possible global south locations for this role, a single salary range is not applicable. Compensation will be benchmarked using a specialist independent third party and tailored to the successful candidate's location.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an influential and collaborative leader to shape the future of a globally recognised network at a pivotal point in its evolution.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CCO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for strengthening equitable engagement, participation and influence across a diverse international community. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure community voices remain central to organisational decision-making, strategic priorities and long-term sustainability.
The CCO will develop, deliver and evaluate a compelling global community and membership strategy, providing leadership across engagement, partnerships, learning, events and participation programmes. The role will create clear pathways for contributors, volunteers and leaders to engage, develop and influence, while fostering collaboration across a complex international network. The successful candidate will strengthen key relationships and ensure community-focused initiatives deliver meaningful impact, inclusion and value.
About You
We are seeking a credible and experienced senior leader located in the Global South who has worked extensively within scientific, research or health environments. You will bring a deep commitment to advancing evidence-informed healthcare and hold experience gained within complex, mission-led organisations, international networks or partnership environments.
The ideal candidate will have an international track record in evidence synthesis, systematic reviews and multidisciplinary collaboration, alongside proven experience leading organisational change, embedding new ways of working, engaging diverse stakeholder groups and translating strategy into measurable outcomes. The next CCO will be an inclusive and authentic leader, with the ability to build trust, inspire commitment and champion equitable participation across diverse global communities.
