The Regional CFO is a key member of the APAC Executive Leadership Team, responsible for driving financial strategy, performance, and governance across both China, Greater India and South East Asia Pacific territories.
This role partners closely with the CEO APAC, Group CFO and global leadership to enable profitable growth, ensure strong financial discipline, and support strategic decision-making across a complex, multi-entity, cross-border environment.
The Regional CFO leads all finance activities across APAC, balancing strategic leadership with operational excellence while ensuring alignment with Group standards and local regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO APAC and executive team, influencing key business decisions, investments, and growth initiatives
- Drive financial strategy supporting scalable growth, operational excellence, manufacturing expansion, and market leadership in the APAC critical power and energy infrastructure sectors.
- Drive financial strategy for APAC, aligned with global priorities and regional market dynamics
- Provide forward-looking financial insights, scenarios, and risk assessments to support business planning
- Support commercial strategy (pricing, margins, product investment, channel strategy)
Financial Performance & Planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and long term planning processes for APAC in accordance to Group standards and guidelines
- Monitor financial performance (revenue, margin, EBIT, cash flow) and proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Recommend and drive corrective actions to improve financial outcomes
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leadership to optimize manufacturing performance and cost competitiveness
- Lead financial oversight of inventory, costing, productivity, and operational KPIs
- Ensure robust investment governance for manufacturing expansion and automation initiatives
- Drive working capital optimization across inventory, receivables, and payables
Manufacturing & Operational Finance
Cross Borders Governance and Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with APAC regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements
- Oversee financial reporting in alignment with Group and local requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Ensure effective internal controls and adherence to delegation of authority
Finance Operations & Transformation
- Oversee core finance functions: accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and reporting consistently to Group guidelines
- Drive process standardization and efficiency across multiple entities and locations
- Lead the modernization of finance processes, systems, and analytics capabilities to support scalable growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee treasury strategy, banking relationships, cash management, and foreign exchange exposure consistently to Group guidelines
- Optimize cash flow, working capital, and capex
M&A and Strategic Projects
- integration activities across APAC
- Lead financial due diligence and post-acquisition financial integration
- Assess investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions
- Lead a finance organization of approximately 15-25 professionals across FP&A, accounting, controlling, tax, treasury, shared services, and business finance.
- Ensure alignment and strong collaboration with global finance teams
- Build organizational capability in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering
- Promote a performance-driven, accountable, and collaborative culture
- At least 15 years of experience in leading Finance function with MNC companies
- Experience in regional finance portfolio across APAC
- Minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in team management
- Strong expertise in financial planning, reporting, and performance management
- Deep understanding of APAC regulatory, tax, and compliance frameworks
- Advanced analytical capability with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence commercial decisions

Who You Are – Qualifications
