Role: Chief of Staff – Global Portfolio & Budget
Location: Remote (UK-based, with occasional team days in select offices)
Contract Duration: 12-18 months
Are you an operationally minded, commercially sharp leader looking to act as the right hand to a senior global VP?
We are currently partnering with a major global FMCG leader to recruit a Chief of Staff (Portfolio & Budget). In this high-impact position, you will be the key driver behind the functional leadership team, managing operational rhythms, resource allocation, and a substantial multi-million-dollar global budget spanning Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
The Role
- Strategic Right Hand: Act as the primary operational partner to the VP, managing leadership agendas, driving decision-making, and keeping global teams aligned.
- Budget & Portfolio Management: Oversee global CAPEX and OPEX planning, track spend across worldwide tech centers, and identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Resource & Org Planning: Partner with HR and functional leads to optimize organizational design, ensure high-priority projects are properly resourced, and maintain global KPIs.
- Global Stakeholder Management: Bring together cross-functional leadership teams across multiple time zones, fostering strong collaboration and cultural awareness.
What We’re Looking For
- Numerate & Analytical: Strong background in finance, economics, business analytics, or data science.
- Systems Savvy: Advanced skills in Excel and comfort navigating corporate financial, portfolio, and project management platforms.
- Operational Leadership: Proven track record in project management, PMO, or business operations within a complex commercial environment.
- Discretion & Influence: Highly skilled at handling sensitive organizational data and navigating senior stakeholder relationships with confidence and tact.
