Chief Product Officer

Clar is a global digital credit and brokerage platform headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, that connects millions of consumers with financial institutions via a unified API infrastructure.

Founded in 2016, Clar has grown to serve 50 million consumers with 300+ financial institutions across 14 markets. In 2026, Clar acquired Lendo Group from Schibsted/Vendt, incorporating the biggest credit brokerage player in the Nordics into the group.

This role is for the CPO of "Clar International"—the team running our businesses outside of the Nordics across Poland, Spain, Portugal, France, Brazil, and Mexico. You will sit on the Clar International Management Team while reporting directly to the Clar CEO.

As CPO International, you will define our standards for Product & Tech Excellence, leading the shift toward a single modular platform while retaining the entrepreneurial spirit that fuels our rapid growth. You will lead a distributed team of ~15 professionals, work directly alongside management team peers, and serve as the strategic bridge to leverage synergies across the broader Clar Group.

• Drive the "One Team, One Platform" Mandate: Shift operations from independent systems to a unified, high-synergy modular platform with shared components and fast-paced innovation across our international markets.
• Establish Product & Tech Excellence: Define the "Clar Standard" for discovery, delivery, and quality across all international hubs.
• Lead AI Impact & Automation: Drive practical, results-oriented AI integration to automate and personalize the core consumer credit journey and streamline internal operations.
• Management & Group Alignment: Sit on the Clar International management team, report directly to the Clar CEO, and collaborate with C-level peers and Country Managers to align product roadmaps with business growth.
• Scale & Mentor Talent: Lead, mentor, and elevate a distributed team of ~15 professionals (Product Owners, Tech Leads, Designers) to foster a culture of ownership and high delivery speed.
• Optimize Tech Ops P&L: Manage budgets for systems, cloud infrastructure, and API/token usage to ensure scalable, cost-efficient operations under strict regulatory compliance.

• Product Management Leadership in Tech: Proven track record leading and managing product development within a tech company, serving as the central bridge between commercial stakeholders and development teams.
• Technical Fluency & Realism: Deep understanding of software development complexity, technical debt, and architectural trade-offs to effectively prioritize alongside engineering teams (you don't need to be a programmer, but you must speak the language).
• High-Competence Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, coach, and set performance standards for experienced product managers, POs, and designers.
• "Step-Up" Scale-Up Mindset: Ambitious, high-energy drive to step into a broader CPO-level mandate. You are a "doer" who combines high-level strategic vision with a hands-on approach to unblocking teams.

• B2C Digital Product Focus: Direct experience owning consumer-facing digital products, optimizing conversion rates (CRO), and elevating UX/UI flows.
• Multicultural & Cross-Border Leadership: Track record of managing distributed teams across regional hubs (e.g., Europe and LATAM).
• Direct Tech Line Management: Previous experience managing engineering teams or tech leads directly.
• Fintech & Applied AI Background: Background in lending/consumer finance, plus practical experience rolling out AI tools for process automation.

• Office Presence: Minimum 3 days per week at our HQ in Stockholm alongside the executive management team.
• Travel: Regular travel to stay closely connected with tech and business teams across Poland, Estonia, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil.



• Take direct ownership of shaping a multi-market, scale-up product strategy across major European and LATAM growth regions.
• High autonomy to innovate, consolidate platforms, and drive real AI transformation.
• Direct executive visibility reporting directly to the Clar CEO.
