Location: Remote — Australia (New Zealand applicants will also be considered). Domestic and international travel required.

They are now seeking an exceptional CTPO who wants to build something meaningful, not simply maintain existing systems.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on executive leadership role within a rapidly scaling Australian technology business — not a corporate CTPO position. You'll lead the strategy, architecture and delivery of the company's technology ecosystem while building a world-class engineering capability to support national and international growth.

Working directly with the CEO, you will be one of the key architects of the company's future, with significant autonomy, influence and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Technology & Engineering Leadership

• Develop and execute the technology strategy aligned to the business's objectives, acting as the trusted technology advisor to the CEO and leadership team.
• Lead all technology decisions across software engineering, AI, infrastructure and platform development.
• Build, mentor and lead high-performing development teams, establishing engineering standards, governance and best practice.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality standard

AI & Product Delivery

• Lead the design and delivery of modern AI-enabled software platforms, from concept through deployment.
• Drive innovation across AI agents, workflow automation, integrations and emerging technologies.
• Ensure scalability, security and performance across all technology platforms.

Customer & Commercial Oversight

• Act as executive technology lead across major customer engagements, from solution design through implementation.
• Build commercially sustainable delivery models that balance customer outcomes with business profitability.
• Manage project governance, delivery reporting and executive technology dashboards, monitoring budgets and utilisation.

Industry Representation

• Represent the company at conferences and customer presentations, presenting alongside the CEO.
• Act as a recognised technology thought leader within the PropTech and AI sectors.

About You

You thrive in scale-up environments and enjoy building businesses, not simply managing technology. You're comfortable making decisions, solving complex problems and taking ownership without waiting to be told what to do — combining commercial thinking with deep technical capability to turn ambitious ideas into practical, scalable solutions.

Essential Experience

• Executive technology leadership experience within a software or technology business, including leading full stack development teams.
• Strong experience designing and delivering AI-enabled applications and platforms, with demonstrated success on complex customer technology projects.
• Experience building and scaling engineering teams, with strong understanding of modern cloud architectures, APIs and SaaS platforms.
• Proven project/programme management and commercial acumen, including managing budgets and profitable service models.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with experience operating autonomously in high-growth businesses.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within PropTech, Real Estate or Property Services, and building AI-first SaaS platforms.
• Experience managing distributed or international engineering teams.
• Previous startup or scale-up executive leadership experience, including presenting to executive audiences or industry events.

Entrepreneurial, commercially minded and highly accountable. Comfortable operating with ambiguity, naturally proactive and calm under pressure. Collaborative, yet capable of making difficult decisions — an exceptional communicator driven to build something significant.
