Your mission
Votre rôle au sein d’une entreprise pionnière en pleine expansion.
Dans le cadre de nos activités de recherche en oncologie, nous souhaitons développer une méthode de prédiction des mutations de résistance aux traitements anticancéreux. L'objectif du stage est de tester la robustesse et la pertinence d’outils existants et de developer une pipeline de prédiction de résistance applicable à différentes cibles thérapeutiques.
Dans le cadre de votre stage, vos missions principales seront :
- Création d’un jeu de données publiques et internes pour la validation d’outils.
- Exécuter les outils de prédiction et évaluer leurs performances (sensibilité, spécificité, faux positifs/négatifs)
- Identifier les limites et développer une méthode applicable à différentes cibles thérapeutiques
- Documenter le protocole et les résultats, et formuler des recommandations sur l'usage des outils (cas d'application, limites)
- Présenter l'avancement et les conclusions à l'équipe tout au long du stage

Your role within a pioneering, rapidly expanding company.
As part of our oncology research activities, we aim to develop a method for predicting resistance mutations to anticancer treatments. The goal of the internship is to test the robustness and relevance of existing tools and to develop a resistance-prediction pipeline applicable to different therapeutic targets.
Main Tasks
- Building a public and internal dataset for tool validation.
- Running prediction tools and evaluating their performance (sensitivity, specificity, false positives/negatives)
- Identifying limitations and developing a method applicable to different therapeutic targets
- Documenting the protocol and results, and making recommendations on tool usage (use cases, limitations)
- Presenting progress and conclusions to the team throughout the internship

Nous recherchons un étudiant(e) en Master 2 (chimie informatique, chimie computationnelle, biologie structurale, biologie computationnelle, bio-informatique, ou équivalent).
- Une bonne compréhension des interactions protéine-ligand est nécessaire
- Savoir exploiter les bases de données publiques COSMIC, cBioPortal, TCGA, …
- La connaissance de la base de données MdrDB est un plus.
- Bonnes connaissances en biologie structurale et en modélisation de protéines
- Bases en génomique du cancer et en biologie moléculaire (mutations somatiques, mécanismes de résistance aux traitements)
- Notions de base en manipulation de fichiers de séquences/structures (FASTA, PDB)
- Savoir travailler avec les lignes de commandes Linux et coder en Python
- Rigueur, autonomie et esprit critique, notamment pour la validation méthodologique
- Bon niveau de rédaction scientifique (français et/ou anglais)

Candidate Profile : Master’s student (2nd year) in cheminformatics, computational chemistry, structural biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field
- A good understanding of protein–ligand interactions is required
- Ability to work with public databases such as COSMIC, cBioPortal, TCGA, …
- Familiarity with the MdrDB database is a plus.
- Good knowledge of structural biology and protein modeling
- Basic knowledge of cancer genomics and molecular biology (somatic mutations, treatment-resistance mechanisms)
- Basic skills in handling sequence/structure files (FASTA, PDB)
- Comfortable working with the Linux command line and coding in Python
- Rigor, autonomy, and critical thinking, particularly for methodological validation
- Good scientific writing skills (French and/or English)
