About the Opportunity We are looking for a Civil or Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team and support the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater pump station projects. You will primarily work on projects with local municipalities and public agencies. This position can be based in Portland, Oregon, or Puyallup, Seattle, Silverdale or Spokane, Washington, with flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement. Your Role on the Team Support the planning, design, rehabilitation, and improvement of municipal water and wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure. Prepare engineering calculations, technical memoranda, reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other design deliverables. Evaluate existing pump station conditions, system capacity, equipment performance, and operational needs. Support the selection and design of pumps, piping, valves, mechanical systems, and related facility improvements. Coordinate with electrical, structural, civil, instrumentation and controls, and architectural disciplines to develop integrated project solutions. Contribute to a collaborative team environment and help mentor developing engineers and technical staff. What You Bring to the Team Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. Five or more years of experience supporting the design or delivery of municipal water and wastewater pump station projects. Professional Engineer license in WA or Oregon, or the ability to obtain licensure within 1 year. Experience with pump selection, hydraulic calculations, piping systems, equipment layouts, and pump station rehabilitation or replacement projects. Familiarity with municipal water and wastewater facilities, operations, design standards, and construction practices. Why Join Parametrix? Salary Range $100,000 — $125,000 USD Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role.
