About this Opportunity: UWL, a World Group company, is currently looking for a detail oriented person to join our family as a Client Logistics Specialist to sit in our growing global headquarters in Rocky River, Ohio! The Import Client Logistics Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external customers, vendors, and Government Agencies. Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver excellent customer service Escalate uncommon, complex issues to the next level manager for resolution when necessary Maintain a customer-level SOP, which outlines customer’s service expectations and details Work with agents abroad to insure timely shipment bookings Communicate rates/costs to agents and customers Track and trace shipments with carriers & communicate any discrepancies to customer Correct invoicing of fees to customers, as outlined in the customer SOP Preparation of freight payments and tender of bills of lading to carrier Confirm and communicate all import ‘milestones’ to customer (e.g.: ETD, ETA, Arrival, Dispatch, Delivery, etc.) Meet minimum productivity and established KPI goals Other duties as assigned Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred 2 - 5 years import logistics or supply chain experience Detailed knowledge of ocean/air imports Ability to work in fast paced environment and remain well organized Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Ability to excels in a team environment Exhibits attention to detail, commitment, professionalism, and sense of urgency Must have the ability to prioritize with well-developed multi-tasking skills Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
