Role Overview

A fast-growing finance firm is seeking a Client Management Accountant to join their team. This is a highly commercial, fast-paced opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to move away from traditional compliance and gain deep operational exposure across multiple businesses.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end accounting cycle for a portfolio of clients. You will manage everything from month-end bookkeeping to complex data analysis and margin reporting, while serving as the primary commercial advisor and direct point of contact for business owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full month-end accounting cycle to produce clean, accurate trial balances across a portfolio of multiple clients.
• Prepare comprehensive management accounts, financial reports, and variance analyses within strict deadlines.
• Conduct deep-dive investigations into complex, unorganised accounting systems to clean up data and reconstruct accurate financial records.
• Extract and analyse granular source data from operational platforms to calculate exact product-level margins and profitability.
• Deliver strategic financial insights and guide client business decisions through direct phone consultations and structured meetings.
• Collaborate with and support the Senior Management Accountant on complex, standalone financial advisory projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant financial qualification and professional designation with 1+ years of commercial accounting experience
• Proven experience managing accounting cycles for multiple distinct entities or clients simultaneously within an outsourced finance and accounting firm or shared services environment
• Hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms, e-commerce data extraction, and advanced Excel reporting functions
• Strong background in commercial finance, with a specific focus on margin analysis, product profitability, and operational data rather than pure tax compliance, is highly advantageous
