MBBS Doctor - U.S. Home Health Operations (Remote, Pakistan-based)

📍 Location: Remote | 🕒 Full-time

📧 Apply: Apply on LinkedIn or send your resume to [email protected]

About Us

Ehsas Home Health (DBA: Jardin Home Health) is at the forefront of transforming post-acute and home health care. We are not just another healthcare company—we’re a purpose-driven organization built on compassion, innovation, and impact. Join a team where your voice matters and your work has meaning.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and highly organized MBBS doctor in Pakistan to join our U.S.-based home health team as a Clinical Intake Coordinator.

This is a non-clinical U.S. healthcare operations role that combines medical knowledge with patient intake, referral coordination, clinical documentation review, and communication with healthcare facilities and referral sources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient conditions, clinical documentation, and healthcare workflows, along with excellent English communication skills and the ability to work during U.S. Central Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Referral & Patient Intake

  • Receive and process new patient referrals from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and other healthcare providers.
  • Review referral information and ensure required patient, demographic, insurance, and clinical documentation is complete.
  • Collect and organize patient information needed to initiate the home health intake process.
  • Identify missing or inconsistent information and follow up with referral sources to obtain the required documentation.
  • Coordinate the intake process from initial referral through successful admission/handoff to the appropriate internal team.

Clinical Documentation Review

  • Review medical records, hospital discharge summaries, physician orders, medication lists, diagnoses, and other clinical documentation for completeness and consistency.
  • Understand common medical diagnoses, comorbidities, medications, procedures, and clinical terminology relevant to home health patients.
  • Identify information that may require clarification or additional documentation from the referring provider.
  • Summarize relevant clinical information for the internal intake and clinical teams.
  • Escalate clinically significant questions or concerns to the appropriate U.S.-based clinical leadership.

Referral Source Communication

  • Communicate professionally with hospitals, SNFs, physicians' offices, social workers, discharge planners, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Follow up on pending referrals and missing documentation.
  • Maintain professional relationships with referral sources through timely and accurate communication.
  • Assist the business development team by ensuring referrals are processed quickly and professionally.

Insurance & Eligibility Support

  • Assist with verifying patient insurance and eligibility information.
  • Review referral documentation for information relevant to home health eligibility and coverage.
  • Coordinate with internal staff regarding Medicare and other insurance requirements.
  • Track outstanding documentation and authorization requirements.

Documentation & Systems

  • Accurately enter and maintain patient information in the company's EMR/CRM and other healthcare systems.
  • Maintain organized and accurate intake records.
  • Track referral status, pending documentation, admissions, and follow-ups.
  • Protect confidential patient information and follow company HIPAA/privacy procedures.

Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with intake, clinical, scheduling, billing, and administrative teams.
  • Ensure timely handoffs between departments.
  • Monitor pending referrals and follow up until the appropriate next step is completed.
  • Help improve intake processes, turnaround times, and documentation quality.

Qualifications:

Required

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
  • Completed house job/internship.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and general clinical concepts.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work full-time during U.S. Central Time hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information professionally.
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote-work environment.

Preferred

  • 1-3+ years of clinical experience after MBBS.
  • Experience working with U.S. healthcare organizations.
  • Experience with home health, hospitals, SNFs, medical billing, medical records, utilization review, referrals, or care coordination.
  • Familiarity with Medicare and U.S. healthcare terminology.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and U.S. healthcare privacy requirements.
  • Experience communicating with U.S. healthcare professionals.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to support documentation review, summarization, and workflow efficiency.

Important Role Clarification:

This position is primarily a healthcare operations, intake, documentation, and coordination role. The employee will not independently diagnose, prescribe, or provide medical treatment to patients on behalf of the U.S. company. Clinical questions, decisions, and patient-care determinations will be escalated to the appropriate U.S.-licensed clinical personnel.

Working Hours:

The employee must be available during the Company’s standard operating hours of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central Daylight Time (CDT), corresponding to 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT). The schedule may require evening/night hours in Pakistan depending on daylight-saving changes in Chicago.

Compensation:

PKR 85,000 per month, depending on clinical experience, U.S. healthcare experience, communication skills, and relevant intake/referral experience. Additional performance-based incentives may be available based on company policy.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an MBBS doctor who wants to use their medical knowledge in a fast-paced U.S. healthcare operations environment. The ideal candidate is medically knowledgeable, highly organized, excellent at communication, comfortable working with U.S. healthcare professionals, and capable of taking ownership of the intake process from referral to handoff.
