Job Responsibilities

Provide country-level and/or global clinical and medical leadership for selected trials, validate study designs and feasibility, and contribute to protocol development.

• Leverage competitive intelligence and real-world data to inform on recruitment strategies and trial planning.

• Ensure adherence to GCP/ICH and regulations; support activities and reviews and provide input to various study relevant documents, safety findings and protocol deviations.

• Provides clinical/medical expertise to and collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders, e.g., Clinical Operations, CROs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance and site staff to ensure the project specific milestones and timelines are met.

• identify barriers and implement mitigation strategies. Gather and communicate clinical/medical insights from various internal and external stakeholders to optimize trial execution and inform strategy.

• Deliver medical/scientific education to internal teams and external stakeholders as required and provide input to internal stakeholders on training materials for clinical trials, investigational assets, therapeutic areas, and disease states.

• Represent Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at internal and external meetings, advisory boards, and scientific forums.

• Serves as a senior clinical leader who oversees complex, multi-country or high-visibility trials and may function as the primary clinical authority for an entire program or therapeutic-area segment.

• Drives global clinical strategy contributions, influencing study design, operational feasibility, country and site strategy, and evidence-generation approaches in collaboration with senior clinical leadership.

• Provides expert-level interpretation of safety findings, data irregularities, protocol deviations, and risk indicators; authors or co-authors advanced risk-mitigation strategies and leads cross-functional clinical risk reviews.

• Acts as a clinical strategist and decision influencer, guiding internal teams and external partners on scientific direction, program risk tolerance, and clinical best practices.

• Mentors Clinical Trial Scientist I and Clinical Trial Scientist II team members and may formally train new investigators, regional partners, or cross-functional colleagues.

• Represents the organization as a recognized subject-matter expert in scientific forums, advisory boards, escalated sponsor discussions, and regulatory-interaction preparation meetings.

• Leads high-complexity issue resolution, frequently coordinating with senior stakeholders to address global recruitment challenges, feasibility barriers, or country-specific regulatory constraints.

• Provides substantial input into portfolio-level planning, including future program feasibility, emerging scientific trends, and competitive intelligence assessments.
