BrightQuest Treatment Center is hiring for a Clinical Outreach Liaison.

  • This position will be remote. Preferred candidate to be in Florida or in Northeastern U.S.
  • Travel is expected for this position. Willing to travel as needed, including outside of home region, to promote BrightQuest treatment facilities.

Primary Purpose & Function:

The Clinical Outreach Representative is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing professional referral relationships that generate clinically appropriate referrals and admissions to BrightQuest Treatment Centers. The role serves as a primary external representative of BrightQuest to behavioral health professionals, hospitals, health systems, treatment providers, consultants, and other referral partners.

This position operates at the intersection of clinical education, relationship development, market strategy, and business development performance. Success requires clinical credibility, disciplined territory management, consistent face-to-face engagement, strong follow-through, and accountability for measurable referral and admission outcomes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of professional referral relationships within the assigned territory and targeted national markets
  • Build relationships with psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, hospitals, health systems, treatment programs, interventionists, educational consultants, case managers, and other behavioral health professionals.
  • Identify and develop new referral sources while maintaining and expanding productive relationships with existing partners.
  • Generate qualified referrals and admissions that are clinically appropriate for BrightQuest programs.
  • Develop and execute territory plans designed to increase awareness, referrals, admissions, and productive professional relationships.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of BrightQuest treatment models, clinical populations, levels of care, admissions criteria, payer considerations, and program differentiators.
  • Educate referral partners through individual meetings, presentations, facility tours, conferences, professional events, and community outreach.
  • Represent BrightQuest professionally at regional and national behavioral health conferences, networking events, and referral-source meetings.
  • Communicate thoughtfully and accurately regarding clinical fit and route clinical questions to the appropriate internal team when needed.
  • Maintain consistent face-to-face engagement within the assigned market, including office visits, professional meetings, lunches, dinners, networking events, conferences, and facility visits.
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for referral partners and maintain appropriate communication throughout the referral and treatment process.
  • Sustain current productive referent relationships while developing new business relationships in the assigned market.
  • Provide timely follow-up to referral partners and coordinate internal communication as appropriate while protecting client confidentiality.
  • Partner closely with Admissions to support timely referral response, effective follow-up, and coordination throughout the admissions process.
  • Collaborate with Clinical, Operations, and facility leadership when appropriate to support referral relationships before, during, and after a client’s treatment experience.
  • Help identify and communicate barriers to admission and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve the referral experience.
  • Ensure referent preferences and appropriate continuity-of-care considerations are communicated to the relevant internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of accounts, contacts, meetings, referrals, admissions, and business development activity in Salesforce or the organization’s designated CRM.
  • Maintain consistent activity levels for professional meetings, new account development, facility tours, referrals, admissions, and follow-up.
  • Participate in regular business development meetings, pipeline reviews, market planning, and performance discussions.
  • Maintain accountability for individual activity and outcomes and demonstrate a results-oriented mindset.
  • Identify market opportunities, referral trends, competitive activity, barriers to admission, and emerging partnership opportunities.
  • Communicate relevant market intelligence and referral-source feedback to business development and facility leadership.
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory and periodically outside the home region based on business needs.
  • Maintain flexibility in schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for professional meetings, conferences, and networking events.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, psychology, social services, behavioral health, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of successful experience in behavioral health business development, clinical outreach, professional relations, admissions, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain productive professional referral relationships.
  • Working knowledge of mental health treatment, co-occurring disorders, residential and outpatient levels of care, and clinical placement considerations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate clinical programming, admissions criteria, and appropriate levels of care to professional referral sources.
  • Working understanding of private-pay and insurance-based behavioral health services preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage a geographic territory, travel schedule, referral pipeline, and follow-up activity.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform preferred.
  • Ability to use CRM data and reporting to evaluate territory performance and prioritize business development activity.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly and work occasional evenings or weekends for professional events.
  • Successfully complete comprehensive background check, MVR screen, and drug screen.
