Job Title: Clinical Project Manager Assistant Job Description The Clinical Project Manager Assistant supports the management of clinical trials by performing a wide range of research and administrative activities. This role focuses on collecting, documenting, and compiling clinical research images and data under the direction of a Project Manager, while ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy, and timeliness. The position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to ophthalmology research and clinical trials that advance treatments for retinal and ocular diseases. Responsibilities Communicate proactively with clinical sites, sponsors, and contract research organizations regarding study specifics, image-related issues, and documentation requirements. Assist with study startup activities, including coordinating and supporting site certification processes. Track, confirm, and document receipt of all images and functional test materials received at the reading center, ensuring complete and accurate records. Manage certification reader assignments and assist with other reader assignments as needed to support study timelines and quality standards. Respond to data queries in a timely and appropriate manner to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity. Prepare materials for data quality control review and perform QC activities such as reconciliation and reconciliation verification. Perform data entry (DE) and source document verification (SDV), maintaining accuracy and compliance with study protocols. Handle filing and other clerical duties as requested to support efficient study operations and record management. Assist all reading center staff members as necessary to meet the needs of various studies and shifting priorities. Attend group meetings at the reading center as needed to stay aligned with project updates, procedures, and team goals. Participate in study conference calls, as appropriate, to support communication among project stakeholders. Provide coverage for assigned studies when the Project Manager is out of the office or unavailable, including time-sensitive tasks such as patient screening eligibility reviews and responding to sponsor requests. Help train new Project Manager Assistants by sharing knowledge of processes, systems, and best practices. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience within clinical research. At least 2 years of experience providing administrative support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong oral and written communication skills. Sound judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions in a research environment. Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing study needs and priorities. Ability to learn new programs and systems quickly. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines. Ability to prioritize work assignments and adjust priorities as needed. Comfort with multitasking and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications Interest in clinical research and ophthalmology, particularly retinal and ocular disease studies. Ability to collaborate with physicians, imaging experts, and research professionals in a multidisciplinary setting. Motivation to develop specialized experience in advanced retinal imaging technologies and image analysis. Commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in clinical research methodologies. Desire to work in a mission-driven environment focused on improving patient outcomes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Durham, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
