Position Overview: As a Clinical Supervisor, you will provide clinical training and development for all assigned clinical teammates who have not completed independent licensure/ certification. The role is responsible for maintaining a high level of performance by providing clinical supervision, education, and training for the assigned counselors who are in training. You will ensure all clinical documentation is on par with state/federal regulations and Pinnacle Treatment Centers policies. The Clinical Supervisor position requires working independently and under minimal supervision and requires a clear knowledge of the agencies’ policy and procedures including disciplinary and grievance adherence.

Pay (Part-time):

  • $45,000-$50,000 annualized salary equivalent ($43-$48/hour)

Requirements:

  • Possess a license that is in line with Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) qualifications as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
    • Maintain compliance with the requirements for continuing education hours and/or units (CEH or CEU) as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
    • Possess knowledge, skills, and abilities as it relates to:
      • The evaluation of patients, treatment planning, and counseling services
      • The use, abuse and treatment of illicit drugs and addiction.
      • Organization and time management.
      • Communication skills both written and verbal.
      • Professional demeanor and customer service practices.
      • Competence with Microsoft computer programs.
    • Must possess a current valid driver’s license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier if required to drive for company purposes. 
    • Localized travel up to 15% may be required to attend meetings and conferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Assures compliance of the clinical program with CARF and all state, federal, local, and governing body policies.

  • Evaluates the clinical needs of the counselor trainee and develops appropriate training to address identified needs.

  • Provides clinical supervision to associates in the fields of social work, marriage and family therapy, and/or professional clinical counseling in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements and applicable laws and regulations. May also provide clinical supervision to Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) counselor and/or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counselors.

  • Conduct individual/group/dyadic/triadic supervision sessions at the frequency required for associate registration (BBS) and/or Pinnacle policy.

  • Ensure all supervision activities are conducted within the scope of Pinnacle Treatment Center’s services and the supervisor’s licensure, training, and competence.

  • Ensures timely and complete documentation of treatment services through regular review of records and digital signing as needed

  • Presents material in seminars, individual and group counseling, when necessary, and supervises the educational aspects of the clinical program.

  • Assists professional staff in resolving program and treatment difficulties as may be encountered, supervises assigned personnel providing group and individual counseling/therapy.

  • Assists in planning individual treatment programs and activities.

  • Assures continuing staff effectiveness for assigned area of responsibility, provides supervision and guidance to individual staff.

  • Provides continuing professional development of assigned staff, reviews individual development goals, progress and evaluation and certification of progress and results.

  • Monitors all clinical program areas regularly to evaluate performance of assigned associate counselors, assists with issues/concerns, and interacts with patients as needed.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient's information to ensure patient rights are protected

  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the medical profession, referral sources, EAPs, and other health related facilities and organizations through formal working and transfer agreements. Network and marketing to promote the program and maintain a positive community relationship.

  • Ensure quality care for the population we serve to include follow-up with adjustments of the treatment program as needed.

    • Directly communicate with other leadership teammates and follow up with periodic updates to address immediate concerns and approval of all administrative decisions that affect the clinical team and program.
