The role As a Cloud and Systems Administrator, you will provide administration and support across Active Directory, Windows and Linux environments, ensuring users, systems, and access are managed efficiently to minimise downtime across the studio. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues across user, application, connectivity, and systems levels, implementing effective solutions to maintain operational continuity. Working Pattern This is a hybrid role based in India, following a rotating 2-week pattern: 2 weeks working from our Nesco, Goregaon office supporting India hours (09:30 - 18:30 IST), followed by 2 weeks working from home supporting Montreal hours (19:30 - 04:30 IST). Candidates should be comfortable with this rotating shift and hybrid arrangement. Key Responsibilities Cloud & Systems Administration Administer AWS and supporting cloud services in line with operational and security standards Manage Active Directory - user accounts, groups, permissions and access Maintain configuration across cloud, identity and user technology services Monitor service health, respond to alerts, and carry out approved changes and maintenance Keep accurate system records, documentation and repeatable support procedures User & Production Support Provide hands-on support to users and production teams across regional and remote locations Handle onboarding - provisioning accounts, AD access, workstations and software so users are ready on time Manage offboarding and role changes, updating or removing access as needed Troubleshoot workstation, application, connectivity, access and infrastructure issues, escalating production-impacting problems Provide first-line support for render farm access and common issues, escalating to Cloud Operations, Pipeline or Infrastructure teams as needed Help prepare access, workstations, software and services for current and upcoming productions, flagging issues early Infrastructure & Service Support Support Cloud Operations Engineers and Infrastructure teams during testing, rollout and operation of technology services Assist with deployment, configuration and validation within agreed procedures Share practical feedback on usability, access, monitoring and support needs Flag recurring issues or admin overhead that automation or tooling could resolve Coordinate with Cloud Operations colleagues on cross-region users, productions or services Key Skills & Experience Practical Active Directory administration - users, groups, permissions, access management Experience supporting Windows-based user environments, workstations and business applications Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience Working knowledge of AWS or another major cloud platform, with interest in growing cloud operations expertise Experience with onboarding, provisioning, access management and general systems administration Strong troubleshooting across user, application, connectivity and systems issues Solid understanding of identity, access and security principles Able to work methodically in a fast-changing, production-focused environment Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical users Comfortable in a distributed global Technology team, supporting remote users and locations Desirable Experience Experience in VFX, animation, media, post-production or another production environment Familiarity with AWS administration, monitoring and operational tooling Experience supporting mixed Linux/Windows environments in production Scripting or automation experience for routine sysadmin tasks Exposure to endpoint management, software deployment, networking or cloud-based workstations Experience in an environment with formal security or client compliance requirements What happens next?
