Role: Senior WorkSpaces Architect

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 months + extendable

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Work Hours: overlap till at least 2pm PST.

Location: 100% Remote

We are seeking a Senior AWS WorkSpaces Architect for a hands-on Principal Engineer/Architect position responsible for designing, engineering, troubleshooting, and continuously improving an AWS WorkSpaces environment supporting 3,400+ workspaces across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate must have deep AWS WorkSpaces and EUC expertise, strong AWS infrastructure knowledge, automation experience, and the ability to lead complex incidents and technical discussions with AWS and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS WorkSpaces architecture, reliability, security, and cost improvements.
• Manage golden images, provisioning automation, monitoring, and deployment tooling.
• Troubleshoot WorkSpaces, connectivity, latency, directory, and endpoint issues.
• Lead P1/P2 incidents, RCA, PIR/AAR, and AWS Support cases.
• Drive cost optimization, lifecycle automation, and provisioning governance.
• Partner directly with business units, AWS teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Support migration planning, roadmap development, and platform improvements.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on AWS WorkSpaces architecture and engineering experience.
• Deep AWS EUC knowledge, including WorkSpaces Personal, Secure Browser, bundles, images, and directories.
• Strong VPC, DNS, routing, security groups, endpoints, and Directory Service/AD skills.
• Windows and macOS troubleshooting experience.
• CloudWatch, EventBridge, CloudTrail, Lambda, and scripting experience.
• WorkSpaces image lifecycle and cost optimization expertise.
• ServiceNow ITSM, incident management, and RCA experience.
• Ability to overlap US business hours through 2:00 PM Pacific and support P1/P2 bridge calls.
