The opportunity

Remarkable Resourcing is seeking an experienced Cloud & Network Architect to design, build and operate the Google Cloud infrastructure and hybrid network connectivity on a SAP S/4HANA RISE programme.

This is an infrastructure architecture and delivery role. You will establish the technical blueprint, implement the environment and transition it into a reliable production service. SAP application development or functional consulting expertise is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the GCP landing zone, including project structure, infrastructure IAM, compute and storage services.
• Design and maintain hybrid connectivity between client data centres, its GCP estate and the SAP RISE environment.
• Own network architecture across routing, DNS, NAT, segmentation and network performance.
• Develop infrastructure resilience and disaster recovery designs supporting programme targets of 99.9% availability, a 30-minute RPO and a four-hour RTO.
• Establish monitoring, logging and actionable alerting across cloud infrastructure and hybrid connectivity, integrated with the clients ITSM processes.
• Support incident, problem, change, capacity, performance and configuration management.
• Work with security and integration teams to establish approved network paths and infrastructure dependencies.
• Manage GCP consumption and cost against the programme’s Commit-to-Consume position.
• Produce architecture documentation, operational procedures and handover materials.

Essential experience

• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong hybrid networking knowledge, including routing, DNS, NAT, firewalls and network segmentation.
• Experience connecting cloud platforms to enterprise data centres and externally managed environments.
• Hands-on delivery capability alongside architecture and design expertise.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring and production troubleshooting.
• Understanding of cloud IAM, infrastructure security and operational change controls.
• Ability to coordinate technical delivery and incidents across multiple vendors.
• Strong English communication and technical documentation skills.
