Storm Reply offers support for the complete cloud life cycle: strategic consultation and idea generation, development of applications and infrastructures, integration of these into hybrid IT landscapes and the operation of these around the clock. Cloud Engineer in Managed Services combines their technical expertise within the areas of IT Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering and Cloud Engineering with their experience in IT Service Management to deliver best Managed Services to the clients of Storm Reply. The engineer works with customers and is engaged in the day-to-day delivery of services, both as an individual contributor and with other engineers. RESPONSIBILITIES operating Cloud-based infrastructure or Cloud-native applications on AWS deploying and maintaining monitoring and log management solutions supporting migrations from on-premises into the Cloud and data migrations to AWS applying DevOps principles and choosing suitable tools to optimally implement Infrastructure-as-Code, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment and Containerisation (e.g., with Kubernetes) being a point of reference for our clients and supporting them on the evolution of the infrastructure and on the resolution of possible incidents carrying responsibility for the 2nd Level IT Support with respect to defined SLAs and OLAs ensuring that our clients are experiencing the best Managed Services experience TECHNICAL SKILLS (possession of at least the majority from the list below) experience with Linux operating systems technical expertise in Amazon Web Services (preferred), or Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure; certification is a plus good knowledge of scripting languages, i.e., Bash, Python network infrastructure know-how, including DNS, NAT, IPsec, VPN, Firewalls, etc. proficiency with containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker), CI/CD, automation (i.e., Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) skills with monitoring systems (e.g., with Prometheus / Grafana, DataDog, OpsView, Nagios, Amazon CloudWatch) QUALIFICATIONS degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable technical course at least 2 years of professional experience in related roles obsession with customer success, strong customer orientedness willingness to work in shifts, or carrying an on-call duty experience with ITSM principles, ITIL knowledge and certification preferred familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies fluency in English language is a must, knowledge of German language is a plus
