Cloud Engineer
JTA: The Data ScientistsWe are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions, leveraging serverless architectures, mostly in Azure.
It's a hands-on role: Python, containers, CI/CD pipelines, SQL and NoSQL databases, and the monitoring that keeps it all running. You'll troubleshoot real environments, collaborate closely with other teams, and have a say in the technical direction of what we build.
What you will be doing:
- Design and build cloud applications using Cloud Serverless technologies.
- Configure and monitor resources using log and monitor tools.
- Develop and deploy workloads using containerized cloud solutions.
- Contribute to the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate services, ensure reliability, and maintain performance.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, building efficient and scalable data access layers.
- Leverage other cloud provided services as needed.
- Troubleshoot and debug cloud environments, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime;
- Participate in system architecture discussions and help shape technical direction for cloud-based solutions;
- Write clean, well-documented, and tested code following best practices for cloud development;
- Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and contribute to enhancing the security posture of cloud infrastructure.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field;
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, a substantial part of it working with cloud technologies (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also valued);
- Strong skills in Python development.
- Good understanding of cloud services, APIs, RESTful services, web protocols, and networking concepts;
- Know-how of DevOps tools, including pipeline automation and deployment processes.
- Good understanding of DevOps concepts, cloud networking, and security best practices.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles is plus.
