Cloud Engineer

Senior Azure Cloud Engineer | NV1 Clearance REQUIRED | Remote

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join an established technology environment, taking ownership of the support, improvement and automation of production cloud platforms.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong Microsoft Azure infrastructure experience who is comfortable working across cloud operations, networking, identity and security.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support and improve production Azure environments - managed service environment.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, infrastructure and networking issues.
• Build and automate infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep and scripting.
• Work across Azure networking, connectivity, compute and platform services.
• Manage cloud identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID, including RBAC and privileged access.
• Support and improve cloud security, monitoring and operational controls.
• Work with engineering teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve platform reliability.
• Contribute to technical documentation, engineering standards and operational improvements.
• BAU work, monitoring, alerting, tickets.

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience engineering and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Good knowledge of Azure networking and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Entra ID / Azure identity and access management.
• Understanding of Azure security and monitoring technologies.
• Strong production troubleshooting and incident resolution experience.
• Experience working within enterprise, consulting or managed technology environments.

Nice to Have

Exposure to any of the following would be beneficial:

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
• AWS or Google Cloud
• CI/CD pipelines
• Enterprise firewalls and network security
• Azure certifications

This position would suit a Senior Azure Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Cloud Engineer looking for a technically hands-on role across cloud infrastructure, security and operations.
