Cloud Engineer (IaaS) (m/f/n)

For our Partner delivering a project for an EU Organization based in Warsaw, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a long-term technology program focused on cloud operations, platform engineering, automation, and support of enterprise-scale cloud environments.

In this role, you will be responsible for administering and monitoring cloud platforms, automating infrastructure and operational processes, supporting development teams, and ensuring the stability, security, and compliance of cloud services. The position combines Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, and operational support responsibilities within a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor enterprise Cloud environments, including subscriptions, identities, resource management, and automation of processes and tasks.
• Monitor and report on Cloud resource utilization and consumption.
• Prepare, update, and maintain reports and workflows.
• Prepare, update, and maintain policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provision and de-provision development environments and DevOps projects.
• Provide 2nd line support to application development teams regarding Cloud Services and coordinate with 3rd line support teams.
• Participate in coordination and project meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum level of education: Level 6.
• Minimum English language skills (CEFR) B2.
• Minimum IT relevant professional experience 5 years.
• Minimum experience at similar position 2 years.
• EU citizenship is mandatory.
• Security clearance at "Confidential" level is required.
  • Candidates may obtain the clearance after joining the project.
  • An application for the clearance must be submitted within 45 days of project start.

Technical Skills:

• Technical knowledge of one or more enterprise Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including: Identity Management, Networking, Compute, Storage, Web Services, Mobile Services, Containers, Databases, Analytics, AI & Machine Learning.
• Experience in building and managing Cloud services, including compute, storage, and network components.
• Strong scripting and programming skills using: PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Go, Bash, Windows Command Prompt, Object-Oriented Programming languages.
• Proven experience in Linux administration and scripting (preferably Red Hat).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft systems administration.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) concepts and techniques.
• Knowledge of Cloud Security and Compliance, including auditing, monitoring, and compliance tools.
• Experience working with multiple support teams.
• Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL-based processes: Change Management, Configuration Management, Release Management
• Excellent knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of Operations and Platform Maintenance.
• Excellent knowledge of Process Automation.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Offer:

• Long-term B2B contract directly with SHIMI, approximately min., 4 years
