Cloud Infrastructure Consultant (Azure)

We are expanding our infrastructure team to support our growing customer base. In this role, you will be the technical bridge between Automatify’s agentic automation solutions and our clients' complex enterprise environments. You will use your deep expertise in IT Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure and M365 to guide customer IT teams, design secure landing zones, and provision the infrastructure required to bring our automation solutions to life.

You will act as an Infrastructure Consultant for our clients. Your primary focus is to help clients prepare their tenants and data centers, configuring secure access for our agents and automation solutions, and troubleshooting integration challenges within their M365 ecosystems. Secondarily, you will collaborate with our existing internal Infrastructure Engineering team to maintain our own tenant, ensuring you stay hands-on with the latest Microsoft updates and best practices.

What you’ll do:

• Design and deploy Azure resources (Compute, Functions, API Gateway, VMs, VNETs, Storage, App Services, AI Foundry, AI Services, etc.) within client environments to host our agentic and business process automation solutions.
• Work directly with the client’s infrastructure and security teams. You will guide them on critical architecture decisions and the configuration of Microsoft Services (e.g. Entra ID) to meet their zero-trust requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customer IT teams to solve complex system integration problems and design the optimal system architecture.
• Support the configuration of both cloud and on-premises environments. Use PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep and other infrastructure automation tools for automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Produce professional, client-facing documentation (Solution Architecture Diagrams, Prerequisite Guides, Installation Guides) that empowers external IT departments to work effectively with us.
• Administer, advise and optimize the configuration of core Microsoft 365 services, such as Entra ID, Copilot, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Teams, SharePoint, Graph API permissions etc.

Who you are:

• You have strong hands-on experience with Azure Infrastructure (IaaS), Networking, and Governance, ranging from virtual machines and networking to web applications and complex database setups.
• You’re familiar with security best practices, including RBAC, network security groups (NSGs), policies, and compliance frameworks. You are proficient in Microsoft Entra ID and build with security-by-design principles.
• You have a good understanding of the M365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Licensing and User Management, Purview and/or other relevant tenant administration services.
• You can troubleshoot complex system issues and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• You are proficient with PowerShell scripting (or equiv.) to automate deployments and audit configurations.
• You have good knowledge of APIs and authentication protocols
• Bonus points if you have experience with the Power Platform, DevOps, or core M365 services.
• AZ-104 certification is a major plus.
• Fluent in English, with German skills as a plus.
