As a Sr Cloud Operations Engineer, you will work closely with solutions architects and business stakeholders to identify, design, develop and deploy infrastructure engineering solutions for our TM platform. Qualified candidates will have exposure to supporting production customer environments and an eagerness to learn and grow.
What a day in the life looks like:
- Manage SAAS Kubernetes applications in AWS
- Respond to event driven alerts and incidents
- Execute plans to roll out new technologies quickly
- Triage tickets raised by our Client Services organization
- Support/troubleshoot OS, application, virtualization and containerization issues
- Assist in developing automation and processes to improve operational SLAs
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- 5+ years in a cloud based operations, engineering, or development role
- 3+ years supporting large scale java applications
- 3+ years in supporting AWS based environments
- Extensive experience implementing Infrastructure as Code principals and technologies (Terraform)
- Fundamental understanding of Linux OS
- Hands-on experience managing and implementing Kubernetes solutions
- Wide range of automation experience (Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Python, etc)
- Hands-on experience collecting performance data, analyzing, troubleshooting, and tuning
- Well versed in application containers such as Tomcat
- Full stack troubleshooting
- Experience with SCM (Git)
Nice to Have:
- Multi-cloud experience with emphasis on AWS and Azure support
- Experience managing .Net applications
- Hands on Dynatrace experience
- Experience managing Helm templated Kubernetes environments
- Understanding of micro-service architectures
- Experience with usage of common application protocols and messages (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, SMTP, RESTful APIs, XML/JSON, JDBC, JMS/MQ)
- Exposure to application threading and concurrency concerns. Troubleshooting environment related issues (response times, connectivity, authentication, authorization, configuration, etc.)
