Cloud Platform Engineer Service

Our client is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to support the design, automation, and operation of cloud infrastructure in a complex enterprise environment. This opportunity focuses on Azure and Kubernetes-based platforms, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure as code, automation, observability, and reliable delivery practices. You will work alongside engineers and business stakeholders to help build and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and troubleshoot containerized infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipeline configurations to support provisioning and deployment of both large- and small-scale systems.
• Design and deliver well-engineered infrastructure solutions that are maintainable and delivered on schedule.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deploy new infrastructure on the Azure platform.
• Monitor availability, latency, and overall system health across cloud environments.
• Investigate and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Communicate status, risks, and progress to product and management stakeholders.
• Help automate and streamline operations and platform processes.
  
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with HashiCorp Terraform, including modules and reusable configurations.
• Knowledge of OpenTofu and/or Bicep is considered a plus.
• Experience securing and deploying distributed applications using containers and Kubernetes.
• Solid experience with Azure Kubernetes, Argo CD, Helm, and related container orchestration tools.
• Experience working in DevOps and GitOps environments using infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and policy-as-code practices.
• Ability to translate designs into fully developed Terraform code.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud; certification is a plus.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, including subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale, highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected principles.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, container repositories, and other container-related technologies.
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, CLI, and Python.
• Strong understanding of data platform technologies and services such as ADF and Databricks.
• Experience with cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Practical Information

• Primary work location: Namur, with occasional presence in Brussels.
• Hybrid arrangement: up to three days of work from home per week.
• Minimum onsite presence of two days per week in Namur is required.
• After the training period, the consultant may be assigned to standby duties according to the agreed operational schedule.
• Language requirements: English is required; French, Dutch and/or German are a plus.
