We're looking for a Security Architect, not simply a Cloud Architect.
Ideal candidates started their careers in hands-on security engineering and have progressed into security architecture roles. This position is heavily focused on conducting security reviews, creating architecture patterns, developing security designs, reviewing solutions, and providing architectural guidance across enterprise environments.
2. AWS Cloud Security Expertise
Strong experience designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments, with a primary focus on AWS.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to help shape and secure modern cloud, data, and infrastructure environments across a rapidly growing enterprise organization.
In this role, you'll partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Development, and Business teams to ensure security is built into technology solutions from the start.
Approximately 80% of your time will be spent performing hands-on security architecture reviews, including:
- Reviewing proposed solutions and designs
- Creating architecture diagrams and security patterns
- Identifying security risks and mitigation strategies
- Defining secure design requirements
- Advising engineering teams on security best practices
- Evaluating cloud and API security implementations
This is an opportunity to influence security strategy while remaining highly technical and engaged in day-to-day architecture decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review secure cloud, data, and infrastructure architectures
- Conduct security architecture reviews for new and existing technology solutions
- Create security patterns, reference architectures, and design standards
- Evaluate cloud workloads, APIs, and enterprise applications for security risks
- Partner with development and infrastructure teams to implement secure solutions
- Support secure integrations resulting from acquisitions and enterprise growth initiatives
- Work with enterprise and data architects to implement data protection controls such as masking and tokenization
- Develop and maintain security standards, requirements, and governance processes
- Participate in architecture review boards and security advisory committees
- Assess emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques
- Recommend mitigation strategies and security improvements across the enterprise
- Help mature cybersecurity capabilities across cloud, network, infrastructure, and data security domains
Required Experience
Technical Experience
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management
- 7+ years of prior experience in infrastructure, systems, networking, or related technical disciplines
- Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud security architectures
- Strong AWS security architecture experience
- Experience performing security assessments and architecture reviews
- Experience securing APIs and distributed application architectures
- Experience working in large enterprise environments

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
