About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join a dynamic consultancy supporting a large-scale enterprise cloud environment. This is a contract role based remotely within the UK, offering an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud security initiatives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing cloud security capabilities, strengthening cyber resilience, and driving continuous improvement across modern cloud platforms such as AWS and native cloud environments. As a key member of the security team, you will leverage your expertise to implement security best practices, optimize security operations, and contribute to the development of innovative security solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud security, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing security solutions within cloud environments. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with Cortex XSIAM, Cortex Cloud, and other Palo Alto security technologies. Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Kubernetes security, and threat detection is essential. Additionally, familiarity with AWS security services, Prisma Access, and secure remote access technologies is required. A solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture, security automation, and API integrations will be highly advantageous. Certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, or cloud-specific credentials are preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
This contract role offers the flexibility of remote working within the UK and provides the opportunity to work with leading-edge cloud security technologies. The position is a long-term engagement for 12 months, with a competitive day rate of 450 to 550 per day, inside IR35. You will be part of a collaborative, highly skilled security environment, gaining exposure to enterprise-scale cloud security programs. The role also offers professional development opportunities, networking with industry experts, and the chance to influence security practices within a large organization.

Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize Cortex Cloud and Cortex XSIAM platforms to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
- Develop, tune, and maintain threat detection rules and automated response playbooks to ensure swift incident management.
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools to continuously assess and improve cloud security posture.
- Enhance Kubernetes and container security posture through configuration, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
- Support Prisma Access and other secure remote access technologies to ensure secure connectivity for remote users.
- Drive security automation initiatives, including scripting, integrations, and policy-as-code to streamline security operations.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering and cybersecurity teams to implement security improvements and best practices.
- Contribute to Zero Trust architecture development and support security governance initiatives across the organization.
