The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Cloud Support Specialist who will provide hands-on engineering and operational support for Azure cloud services across mission workloads. This role involves independently executing moderately complex cloud deployments, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting platform operations with a strong focus on AKS, PaaS services, and Infrastructure-as-Code patterns. The specialist will research solutions, resolve cross-team technical blockers, and contribute to the reliability and scalability of cloud platforms. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, advancing cloud capabilities, and sharing knowledge to strengthen team performance.
Responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Azure resources including VMs, storage, networking components, and PaaS services.
• Support and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters and assist with container workload troubleshooting.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates such as ARM or Bicep.
• Configure Private Endpoints, encryption options, and diagnostic settings for cloud resources.
• Investigate issues related to certificates, DNS, networking dependencies, and service connectivity.
• Analyze logs, performance metrics, and telemetry to identify and resolve service issues.
• Assist with deployment pipeline troubleshooting and contribute to improving automation processes.
• Perform technical research to evaluate solution options and support new cloud capabilities.
• Document processes, troubleshooting procedures, and platform configurations.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced engineers through informal mentoring and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• 2–4 years of experience in cloud operations, engineering, or technical support.
• Experience with Azure core services, PaaS offerings, and AKS fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as ARM or Bicep.
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud networking, certificates, DNS, and connectivity issues.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired:
• Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑204, or similar).
• Experience with DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes concepts, or cloud observability tools.
• Experience supporting cloud diagnostic or logging tools.
• Prior experience in government or IL‑enclave cloud environments.
