Hale Hamilton (Valves) Limited, part of CIRCOR’s Global Navy Division, is a leading manufacturer of pressure and flow control solutions for application on various Submarine and Surface Ship platforms and for applications in Industrial segments such as Renewable Energy, Industrial Gas and Power.
For our location in Uxbridge, in the Greater London area, we are looking for a CNC Lathe Setter Operator.
Your responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Turning Centres
- Load CNC programmes, set tool offsets and datums, and verify machine readiness prior to production
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, GD&T requirements, and process documentation
- Select, install and maintain cutting tools
- Manufacture components to tight tolerances using a variety of materials
- Proficiency in precision measurement and inspection techniques
- Make programme edits, tooling adjustments and offset corrections as required
- Monitor machine performance, identify issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain quality standards
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with 5S principles
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and company procedures
Your qualifications
- Completed engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification
- Significant experience operating and setting CNC turning centres and CNC lathes (Fanuc controls)
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement, inspection and machining adjustments
- CNC programming knowledge advantageous
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
