CNC Maintenance Technician - Field Service – Twin Cities Metro Area
Join Productivity, Inc., a leader in machine tool sales, service, and automation integration since 1968.
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Tool Field Service Engineer to support our growing customer base throughout the Twin Cities metro area and greater Minnesota. This position is remote/field-based, with a strong preference for candidates living in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area to optimize regional travel.
If you have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Haas CNC machine tools, along with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, we want to talk with you.
What You'll Do
- Travel to customer sites throughout the Twin Cities metro area and greater Minnesota to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and controls, with a strong focus on Haas equipment.
- Receive full travel support, including a company service vehicle, gas card, and paid travel expenses.
- Perform new machine installations, leveling, alignment, and initial setup.
- Repair and adjust mechanical systems, including spindles, drives, ball screws, way systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, including CNC controls, servo systems, safety circuits, and machine peripherals.
- Calibrate and replace parts to maintain machine accuracy and performance.
- Maintain detailed digital service records, documenting diagnostics, repairs, and parts usage.
- Provide exceptional customer support, communicating findings and repair recommendations to manufacturing customers.
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on CNC machine tool maintenance and repair experience, with Haas machine experience strongly preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting Haas controls and/or Fanuc controls.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex machine tool issues independently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and machine documentation.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills and a professional service mindset.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Residency within the Twin Cities metro area strongly preferred.
