Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Vectron is building a managed procurement service for infrastructure, energy, construction and real estate projects. We put experienced procurement people alongside client teams and equip them with an internal AI and BIM-enabled platform and an extended supplier network across Asia. Our aim is to help clients source faster, make stronger commercial decisions and identify risk earlier.

We are looking for a Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer who has led procurement on complex projects and wants to build the next generation of procurement delivery. This is a hands-on founder role combining procurement delivery leadership with product direction. You will shape what we deliver for clients, how our consultants work, and which tools we build to make that work better.

What you will own

• Lead procurement strategy and delivery for agreed client scopes, from sourcing plans and RFQs to supplier qualification, bid evaluation, negotiation and contract follow-through.

• Build and manage a high-performing team of procurement consultants, with clear standards for quality, commercial judgment and client service.

• Develop Vectron’s supplier reach across Asia and build trusted relationships with asset owners, contractors and project leaders.

• Turn real project workflows into product requirements. Work with our AI team to improve RFQ preparation, bid comparison, design-to-procurement traceability and decision support, with human review throughout.

• Help the founding team win early engagements, define measurable client outcomes, hire well and set the direction of the company.

What you bring

• Senior corporate or project procurement experience with a tier-one contractor, asset owner or major infrastructure business. Experience across Hong Kong and other Asia-Pacific markets is particularly valuable.

• A strong track record in construction purchasing, supplier management, tenders, commercial contracts and delivery risk on civil works, transport, energy or real estate projects.

• Experience managing teams and working directly with project, design and commercial leaders.

• Sound commercial judgment, integrity, and the drive to build a company, not only manage a function.

• An interest in applying AI and BIM to practical procurement problems. You do not need to be a software engineer.

Location: Hong Kong SAR. Hybrid work, regular time with client teams, and some regional travel.

Founder terms: Cash compensation, equity participation and start date will be discussed with shortlisted candidates and agreed before appointment.
