Co-Founder & CTO — Kollektif®

Kollektif is a purpose-driven merchandise company built in Canada and working with people and brands around the world. We make merch people actually want to keep: well-designed, produced in the right quantities, and made to last. Through Kollektif Studio®, we design and produce merch for companies and events, including upcycled pieces and our own blanks, and we handle production and fulfillment end to end. Our clients range from fast-growing tech companies to community organizations and charity events.

The merchandise industry still runs largely on overproduction, disconnected suppliers, and products that end up in a drawer or a landfill within months. We believe the next generation of merch will be built on better systems, and we're looking for a technical co-founder to help us build them.

What you'll be building

As Co-Founder and CTO, you'll lead the design and development of Kollektif's merchandising platform, the system that connects how merch is designed, ordered, produced, distributed, and eventually recovered and reused. This includes tools that help clients order the right quantities for their teams and events, smoother workflows across our production and fulfillment partners, and infrastructure that supports circular models such as take-back, resale, and upcycling. You'll set the technical direction, make the early architecture decisions, and build the first versions of the product yourself before growing a team around it.

You'll work closely with the founding team on product strategy, fundraising, and the shape of the company, and you'll have real ownership over what we build and how we build it.

Who we're looking for

• You're a hands-on engineer who has shipped products end to end, ideally in commerce, marketplaces, supply chain, or operations software.
• You have experience with the Shopify ecosystem or modern commerce infrastructure, or you're excited to learn it quickly.
• You're creative as well as technical, and you care about design, brand, and the experience of the people using what you build.
• You're interested in circular fashion and sustainability and want to apply your skills to reducing waste in a real industry.
• You're comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy building from an early stage, where priorities shift and you shape the roadmap as much as you execute it.
• You're based in North America and comfortable working remotely with a team across Toronto, New York, and London.

The structure

This is a founding role. Compensation today is equity, with salary to follow once we close our upcoming seed round. We'd rather be clear about that from the start so we can find someone who is genuinely motivated by building the company with us.
