Position Summary: The Business Valuations Co-op position offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience within a busy and dynamic advisory practice. Our team prepares reports used in court proceedings, tax planning, and purchase and sale transactions. The successful candidate will gain exposure to business valuations, financial loss quantification, forensic accounting investigations, income calculations for matrimonial matters, and critiques of expert reports. You will apply technical concepts to client situations, work directly with managers and partners, and learn more about the Chartered Business Valuator designation. Major Responsibilities Assist with financial analysis and modelling Assist with drafting valuation and related advisory reports Conduct market, company, and industry research Prepare information requests for the production of documents Manage and organize document production Review and analyze financial, legal, and supporting documents Communicate with clients, lawyers, and other external parties Work directly with managers and partners on client engagements Assist with mediation and trial preparation Develop an understanding of business valuation methodologies and the Chartered Business Valuator designation Qualifications/Experience: Currently pursuing a university degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field Intention to pursue a CPA, CBV, or related professional designation is an asset Energetic, highly motivated, and eager to learn Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is an asset About Fuller Landau We are an accounting, tax, and advisory firm with a team of over 160 people.
