Collections Representative

This role will be responsible for collection of outstanding customer payments. Responds to customer and dealer inquiries via a toll-free number by providing verbal and written correspondence. Contacts customers to follow up with insurance proof to update records on customer’s files. A Day in the Life: Job functions Include but are not limited to: Contacts customer by phone or correspondence letters to make arrangements to bring their delinquent accounts current. Answers incoming calls from customers and dealers in regards to inquiries. Performs follow-up of insurance policies and communicates with customers and/or insurance brokers to obtain proof of enforced insurance policies. Prepares correspondence letters, delinquent reports, repossession files, bankrupt files and payment arrangements. Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Collections department. Who We’re Looking for: Required: University or College Degree preferred but not required Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written Minimum of 1 year experience in Automotive Finance and/or Collections preferred Customer Service experience and skills. (i.e. resolving past due accounts, calming irate clients) to include coaching, counseling, diplomacy, effective listening skills, influencing, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Mississauga Ontario Canada Salary Range: $51,601.00 - $63,397.00 This compensation range represents the minimum to midpoint base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that an employee’s base salary may occasionally be set above the midpoint of the salary band for this grade level, in recognition of the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, or market conditions. Compensation decisions also consider internal equity and comparisons with the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles. Note: Bonus, benefits, and other forms of variable compensation are not included in the base-salary range shown above.
