Collections Representative - Remote

Achieve offers live, online instruction, 1-on-1 tutoring and mentoring, and flexible course schedules that empower non-traditional college students to test out of college credits and earn higher-level professional licenses. Role Overview: Managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely payment of outstanding debts. Your primary responsibilities will include making outbound calls using an automated dialer, handling inbound collection calls, and managing individual collection cases. You will review customer accounts, assess their ability to pay, and negotiate payment plans to recover outstanding balances. Your success in this role will depend on your excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with your ability to persuade and build rapport with customers. This position offers hourly pay plus commission based on the amount collected. Roles & Responsibilities: Outbound and Inbound Calls: Utilize an outbound dialer to make collection calls and handle inbound collection inquiries. Account Review: Thoroughly review customer accounts and ask relevant questions to assess their ability to pay. Follow-Up: Follow up on missed payment arrangements to secure payments. Negotiation: Negotiate payment amounts and terms with customers to ensure successful collections. Case Management: Manage and work on assigned collection cases efficiently and effectively. Desired Skills and Experience: Proven experience in collections or a similar role. Strong persuasive abilities and excellent negotiation skills. Ability to analyze customer accounts and determine payment capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
