The Collections Supervisor is responsible for leading and strengthening the Collections team to ensure effective management of the Accounts Receivable portfolio, reduction of past-due balances, and achievement of key collection KPIs, including DSO, aging, past-due balance, and cash collection targets.
This role combines people leadership, portfolio analysis, customer negotiation, dispute resolution, and operational execution. The position oversees complex B2B customer accounts, identifies collection risks and root causes, drives action plans, and coordinates with internal teams such as Billing, Cash Application, Customer Care, Commercial, Finance, and other stakeholders to accelerate issue resolution and payment.
The Collections Supervisor is also responsible for coaching collectors, monitoring team performance, escalating high-risk accounts, supporting process improvements, and ensuring appropriate execution of customer-specific billing and collection requirements.
Knowledge of the operational and regulatory processes of regulated financial entities, such as a SOFOM (Sociedad Financiera de Objeto Múltiple) or banking institution, including loan lifecycle management, portfolio control and compliance with applicable financial regulations. This is essential, as the position will be responsible for controlling and overseeing the SOFOM’s loan portfolio.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, or related financial functions.
- Previous experience managing complex B2B customer portfolios.
- Demonstrated experience in collection negotiations, account reconciliation, dispute resolution, and aging analysis.
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or coaching teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash processes.
- Knowledge of Mexican invoicing requirements and SAT/CFDI regulations.
- Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to participate in business meetings and communicate with regional or global stakeholders.

- Organization & Follow-up: Strong discipline in tracking commitments, actions, deadlines, and customer follow-up.
- Customer Focus: Ability to balance customer relationships with financial objectives and collection requirements.
- Results Orientation: Strong ownership of DSO, past-due reduction, cash collection, and portfolio quality.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across Finance, Commercial, Operations, Billing, and Customer Service teams.
- Process Improvement: Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements.
- Adaptability: Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, changing, and deadline-driven environment.
