Contents are subject to change at the company’s discretion. Education Required – High School Diploma or equivalent Work Experience Required – 2 years either clinic or hospital based care experience. Preferred – 2 years pediatrics experience. Certifications Required – LPN licensure from and accredited school of practical nursing in state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally. Ability to work with a remote leader and team while building connections with the frontline school where assigned. Strong interpersonal skills. Organizational skills. Job Duties Administers nursing care within a school system. Uses the nursing process effectively in the delivery of patient/student care and escalates needs and concerns. Educates based on learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines. Utilizes data, information and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
