Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our team in Prescot (Liverpool).

As a Commercial Analyst within Alfred H Knight’s Agriculture division, you will play a key role in improving commercial visibility, supporting strategic decision-making, and strengthening execution across the commercial lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to join a growing global business line where you will work across commercial, operational, and financial activities to help drive structured growth and improve performance. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Technical proficiency: Strong Microsoft Excel capability is essential. You must have proven, hands-on experience structuring/cleaning imperfect datasets, using advanced formulas/functions, lookups, pivot tables, and conditional logic, and independently investigating data discrepancies.
• Commercial reporting & modelling: Experience building, maintaining, and analyzing sales, order book, and pipeline reporting, including basic financial modeling (pricing, margin analysis, and business case support).
• Analytical capability: Strong ability to analyze trends, risks, and pipeline velocity, translating data and research into actionable, decision-useful commercial insight.
• Commercial awareness & coordination: Strong commercial mindset with the ability to coordinate inputs for bids, proposals, and commercial initiatives across sales, finance, and operational teams.

Required Competencies

• Detail-oriented: Structured with a strong focus on accuracy, data integrity, clarity, and delivering logical outputs.
• Proactive Approach: A self-starter with a willingness to take ownership and move initiatives forward independently.
• Communication & stakeholder management: Confident communicator, able to engage and coordinate effectively across multiple internal stakeholders and international regions.

Required Work Experience

• Demonstrable experience in a commercial, analytical, or finance-related role with regular responsibility for data manipulation and producing analysis.
• Exposure to sales environments, commercial pipeline management, or bid coordination is preferred.
• We are also very open to considering high-calibre Graduates with strong analytical degrees who possess strong Excel skills and the aptitude to learn and develop quickly.

Required Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance, or a similar analytical field is advantageous.
