Wood is seeking a Commercial Coordinator for a position within its Consulting business unit, supporting operations across the Americas.
This role can be based at any Wood office in the US with a hybrid working arrangement.

The Role
As a Commercial Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance, supporting business growth, and managing contractual and commercial risk across the Consulting Business Unit.
The successful candidate will implement and execute commercial strategies aligned with business objectives, ensure compliance with commercial and contracting policies, and support the commercialization of service offerings to maximize value creation.
The role also oversees working closely with operational and leadership teams, the role contributes to sustainable growth, risk mitigation, and overall business success through effective commercial governance and strategic decision-making.

- Lead pre-award commercial activities, including tender reviews, proposal evaluations, pricing submissions, and commercial qualifications
- Ensure compliance with commercial governance, processes, and procedures across the business unit or region
- Oversee commercial administration activities, ensuring the timely delivery of contractual and commercial obligations, including bonds, parent company guarantees, and insurance requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain project commercial strategies, handover plans, subcontracting strategies, and profit improvement initiatives
- Coordinate contract reviews and develop commercial qualifications and contract amendments in collaboration with the Contracts team to achieve an appropriate balance of risk and reward
- Coordinate estimate reviews to establish pricing models, cost recovery mechanisms, and compliance with client-specific pricing requirements

Expected:
- Proven years of experience in a commercial, contracts, project controls, or other technically relevant role
- Strong understanding of commercial management, contract administration, and risk management principles
- Awareness and application of corporate, commercial, and project procedures and governance requirements
- Knowledge of tendering, contract review, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations
- Experience supporting complex projects within engineering, construction, energy, or related industries
- Ability to interpret contractual terms and identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
Preferred:
- Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Studies, or a related discipline; professional qualification
