Position Summary The Commercial Finance Manager serves as the key finance business partner for strategic client accounts, providing financial leadership, commercial insight, and decision support to drive profitable growth and ensure strong financial governance. The role combines financial planning, performance management, forecasting, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement to support account leadership, operational teams, and senior management. For the Heineken/Tiger account, this position is responsible for managing the end-to-end commercial finance function, ensuring profitability, financial visibility, and compliance with contractual and company policies while supporting the continued growth of the client relationship across APAC. Key Responsibilities 1. Commercial Finance Business Partnering Act as the primary finance partner to the Account Director and account leadership team. Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making. Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve account profitability and efficiency. Support business growth initiatives through robust financial analysis and commercial evaluation. 2. Profitability and Performance Management Own the account Profit & Loss (P&L) through Gross Profit and contribute to overall business profitability. Conduct regular profitability reviews highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Analyze revenue, costs, margins, and client-specific performance metrics. Develop recommendations to optimize commercial outcomes and improve margin performance. 3. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting Lead monthly forecasting cycles and annual budgeting activities for the account. Partner with operational teams to develop realistic revenue and cost projections. Monitor forecast accuracy and identify drivers impacting financial outcomes. Support long-range planning and scenario modelling to assess business risks and opportunities. 4. Variance Analysis & Financial Reporting Perform detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Identify key drivers behind financial performance and communicate findings to stakeholders. Prepare executive-level financial reports and dashboards for leadership review. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of account financial performance. 5. Client Reporting & Commercial Reviews Prepare client-facing financial reports in line with contractual obligations. Support quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and client review meetings through insightful financial analysis. Ensure all client financial reporting requirements are fulfilled accurately and on time. Develop presentations and supporting materials for account leadership discussions. 6. Month-End Close & Financial Governance Lead month-end close activities related to the account. Review revenue recognition, cost allocations, accruals, and financial adjustments. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, financial controls, and client contracts. Validate balance sheet positions and investigate any unusual transactions or variances. 7. Risk Management & Compliance Identify financial risks, commercial exposures, and operational challenges. Recommend mitigation plans for revenue, margin, cost, and contractual risks. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial governance requirements. Support internal and external audit activities as required. 8. Commercial Decision Support Conduct business case evaluations and investment analysis. Support pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and commercial proposals. Provide scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to support strategic decisions. Assess the financial impact of new client initiatives and growth opportunities. Experience supporting large client accounts and managing P&L performance. Proven track record of forecasting, budgeting, and financial business partnering. Experience operating in a multinational and matrix organization is advantageous.
