Te Tūranga – About the role
We’re looking for a commercially savvy Commercial Insights & Optimisation Manager to shape smarter decision-making across our Wholesale business.
Leading our Insights team, you’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insight and ensure our Wholesale strategy is informed by robust commercial analysis. You’ll proactively identify opportunities to simplify and streamline reporting, improve efficiencies and introduce self-service tools that better support our Owners, Wholesale Leadership Team and wider business stakeholders.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Leading, coaching and developing a Senior Insights Analyst and Insights Analyst
- Delivering meaningful insights that support Gilmours’ short and long-term growth aspirations
- Simplifying and rationalising reporting while improving the quality and accessibility of commercial information
- Leading commercial analysis for customer-driven range reviews and source-of-supply negotiations
- Partnering with Data and Analytics and SAP teams to enhance systems, tools and processes
- Supporting strategic initiatives, including Better Buying and Pricing 2.0
- Presenting commercial insights and recommendations to senior leaders, including the Wholesale Leadership Team and FSNI Executive Team

You’re an experienced insights and commercial leader who understands what makes Foodservice or FMCG businesses tick!
What do we need from you?
Extensive experience from within Foodservice or FMCG, coupled with strong commercial acumen developed in large, complex organisations. You understand what drives performance and can confidently translate data into meaningful business outcomes.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop and inspire high-performing teams. You're an exceptional communicator who can simplify complex information, influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships across a broad range of business functions.
Naturally highly analytical and detail-oriented, with advanced reporting, modelling and data management capabilities, you thrive in fast-paced environments, balance competing priorities with ease, and bring a practical, action-focused mindset with a genuine passion for turning insights into business improvement.
