Description

Join a collaborative commercial lines team where strong service, attention to detail, and teamwork make a real difference for our clients.

Founded in 1917, WSR Insurance Services is one of the oldest and largest independently owned insurance agencies. We partner with a wide range of insurance carriers to provide thoughtful, tailored solutions that help businesses manage risk with confidence. Our independent approach allows us to focus on what matters most: our clients, our communities, and the relationships we build along the way.

About the role:

As a Commercial Insurance Assistant Account Manager, you will work as part of the Select Business Unit desk team to support a book of small commercial accounts from new business through renewal. You will collaborate closely with fellow service team members, Producers, carrier partners, and clients to keep work moving, resolve day-to-day needs, and deliver a consistent service experience. This is a great opportunity for a commercial insurance professional who enjoys variety, shared responsibility, and being part of a team that helps one another succeed. As you build your knowledge and experience, there is potential to take on greater account responsibilities and grow within the commercial insurance team.

What you'll do:

  • Work collaboratively with the Select Business Unit desk team to manage daily service needs and keep accounts moving efficiently
  • Build positive client relationships by responding promptly, answering questions, and providing reliable day-to-day support
  • Coordinate renewals by gathering information, reviewing current coverage, preparing submissions, working with carriers, and completing policy updates on time
  • Handle new business referred by Producers, including completing applications, obtaining quotes, coordinating coverage details, and binding coverage
  • Process policy changes, certificates, endorsements, audits, cancellations, and other account requests accurately and within expected timeframes
  • Review account information for coverage gaps or concerns and partner with Producers and Account Managers on appropriate recommendations
  • Report new claims and assist with claim follow-up as needed
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation in the agency management system
  • Follow agency workflows, carrier requirements, and quality standards
  • Pitch in during high-volume periods or team absences and contribute to special projects, training, and process improvements
