Commercial Product Analyst

We are looking for a Commercial Product Analyst to own the commercial and market performance of our product catalogue: the verifications we source from suppliers, and the custom activities our customers configure to manage any worker compliance obligation they face. Every product has its own cost, supplier, demand and commercial case. You will manage all of it with rigour and a sharp commercial eye. This is a brand new role, open to all of Australia. Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, you will get real influence from day one and a portfolio that is yours to shape. OUR TEAM’S STRENGTH COMES FROM EVERYONE’S INDIVIDUALITY About you: You think in unit economics. Cost per transaction is a lever to you, not just a number. You turn supplier costs, volumes and market data into clear, evidence-based calls, minus the jargon. You can build a simple financial model and negotiate commercial terms with confidence. You get how AI and automation work in practice: what they cost, what they save, and when they are worth it. You can write user stories, think in jobs-to-be-done, and hold your own in a sprint alongside engineers. You have worked in a commercial, product, business analyst or operations role with real exposure to cost analysis or supplier management. Nice to have: experience in a regulated industry, an API-dependent business, or supplier and contract management, plus a working knowledge of software such as Figma, Jira, GitHub and Claude. We care more about how fast you learn than what you already know. DELIVERING THE GOOD, STRIVING FOR THE GREAT What you will be doing, including but not limited to: Own the portfolio: track what each verification and activity costs, the margin behind it, and where volumes are heading. Make the hold, invest or exit calls. Manage our suppliers: lead the supplier relationships, terms, SLAs and renewals, and find ways to lower our cost of services without dropping quality. Watch the market: spot product gaps, follow regulatory change across employment Australia and New Zealand, and track national identity infrastructure like the WWCC , NCCC, DVS and VEVO. Always keeping an eye on international changes. Make automation pay: find where automation cuts cost per transaction, build the case, then partner with product and engineering to deliver it. Brief the CPO: turn clear reporting on cost, volume, margin and supplier spend into recommendations the business can act on. Back the front line: give sales and customer success the commercial picture they need to position our offering well. ARE YOU READY TO BE A KINATICAN?
