About the company
Our client is a law firm.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take on a mix of property-related transactional matters within a law firm practice, from document preparation through closing. You will run files with partner guidance and work closely with commercially minded clients. The position comes with a route toward partnership.
What you'll do
- Prepare and negotiate purchase agreements, leases and loan documentation.
- Steer closings with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Advise clients directly and propose workable solutions instead of simply raising issues.
- Examine title and survey materials for complex property deals.
- Assist with development-related approvals, agreements and incentive arrangements.
- Partner with senior lawyers on high-profile financings, tax-deferred exchanges and mixed-use projects.
What we're looking for
- Recent, uninterrupted law firm experience handling commercial property transactions, at least 3 years.
- Capacity to manage a matter independently under partner review, without needing step-by-step direction.
- A steady, consistent career history.
- Excellent written work and close attention to detail, reflected in a clean, error-free resume.
- A pragmatic, client-focused mindset geared toward closing deals.
- Background advising on the development side of property projects.
- Familiarity with local government approvals and incentive programs for real estate projects.
- Not currently based in New York, unless joining together with partners.
- Willingness to be in the office 3 to 4 days per week.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 175,000 to 250,000 per year
Location and work model
- Roseland, NJ, United States (preferred) or Woodbridge, NJ, United States
- Hybrid, 3 to 4 days per week in the office
- Full-time
