Role Description

The Commission Only Sales Representative is a full-time remote role responsible for driving revenue growth for the Growers Chain Marketplace. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and contacting prospective buyers and sellers, presenting the benefits of the marketplace platform, and onboarding new accounts. The representative will maintain regular communication with clients, provide product and platform information, and follow up on leads generated through marketing and referrals. The role involves negotiating terms within established guidelines, assisting customers with registration and listing processes, and tracking sales activities in a CRM or similar system. The Sales Representative will collaborate with internal teams to share market feedback, support promotional campaigns, and meet or exceed agreed sales targets based solely on commission earnings.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• Have a smart phone, laptop and reliable internet access.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Customer relationship management skills, including networking, client communication, and follow-up capabilities.
• Comfort with remote work tools and digital platforms, including online marketplaces, CRM systems, and basic office software.
• Ability to research market opportunities, understand customer needs, and present tailored value propositions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with clear, professional presentation abilities.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in commission-only or performance-based sales roles is an advantage.
• Experience in agriculture, retail, e-commerce, or marketplace environments in Jamaica is beneficial.
• Secondary school completion required; post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
