Job Description
Nordic Sustainability is a value-based consultancy firm working at the intersection of strategy and sustainability. Based on a deep understanding of the systemic changes necessary and the underlying science, our company’s purpose is to help public and private sector organisations make better decisions and transform their organisations towards true sustainable practices.
As an intern, you will serve as a full-time member of our team and receive day-to-day coaching in a culture that is focused on direct and clear feedback.
About us
We are a team of professionals with solid competencies within management consulting and sustainability. What makes us a team is our shared ambition to have a deep, positive impact while also keeping ourselves accountable as a company. We are ambitious on behalf of our clients and we measure ourselves by those same standards.
- You live sustainably and seek to push the boundaries of what organizations and individuals can do to have an impact
- You always seek to deliver the highest quality possible and continuously push the envelope on what you can deliver
- You are a team player that can handle a diverse set of tasks – both the ones that challenge you and the ones you can do in your sleep
- You are proactive and not afraid to offer your perspective on how to best approach the project at hand
- Previous experience from a communications or marketing role, preferably within sustainability-related areas is an asset
- Creative mindset and an ability to communicate compellingly in written and visual form
- Experience in content creation and social media
- Skilled in working with PowerPoint and developing presentations
- Experience in graphic design and tools such as Adobe programmes (i.e. Photoshop and Illustrator) is a big plus
- Skilled in turning complex reports & messages into engaging content
- Written English at a native or comparable level. Fluency in Danish is an asset, but not a requirement
- Good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
Your responsibilities
- We expect you to be able to run independent processes within projects with the oversight of a project manager
- We expect you to support our social media strategy by posting content on relevant social media channels
- We expect you to plan and carry marketing activities
- We expect you to take a leading role in driving our communications efforts
We offer
- Real experience as a sustainability communicator. You will be considered a regular team member with real valid impact on the projects you work on
- A flat hieratic structure with an approachable management
- Tailormade development plan focusing on your learning curve and goals
- 4-5 day work weeks, depending on business demand, with flexibility around working hours and the possibility of partial remote work (1-2 days/week).
- Affordable vegetarian/vegan lunch scheme
- Beautiful office facilities located in the centre of Copenhagen near public transport and a young international team where social activities are supported and prioritised
Requirements
- If you are not a Danish student, you must be able to acquire a valid work permit that allows for Danish employment prior to the starting date
- The internship is planned to start in early January and will last for approximately six months. You must be able to work in office during the full internship
- You live in Copenhagen or are willing to relocate for the duration of the internship. We unfortunately are not able to offer any relocation support.
- You must be able to acquire a Danish CPR and a Danish bank account prior to your starting date.
Interested candidates should do the following:
Submit your CV and upload your CV and write a short (one page) cover letter, expressing your motivation to do the internship and how you fit the company professionally and as a person. Try to link to projects you have done in the past and be clear about the most important attributes you will bring to Nordic Sustainability.
Deadline: Sunday October 25 at 23.59 CEST
We encourage people of any gender (binary or non-binary) and of all places and backgrounds to apply for these positions.
