Title: Provider & Beneficiary Communications & Training Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Hybrid — 4 days per week in Brighton, MA office; 1 day remote

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview

The Provider & Beneficiary Communications & Training Specialist develops and delivers the education and communications that connect the US Family Health Plan of Southern New England ("USFHP") with its providers, beneficiaries, and stakeholders. This policy-driven role creates outreach materials, translating plan policies and program changes into clear, compliant communications to support engagement, retention, and growth for the plan's beneficiaries and providers. Additionally, this role is responsible for overseeing and designing educational and training programs to improve the knowledge and skills of employees within the organization.


Key Responsibilities


Education & Content Development

  • Develop clear, accurate, policy-driven communications and educational materials for providers, beneficiaries, and stakeholders across print and digital channels.
  • Translate complex plan policies, benefits, and program changes into accessible, audience-appropriate content.
  • Ensure materials meet regulatory, brand, health-literacy, and accessibility (e.g., plain-language, ADA) standards.

Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Plan and execute outreach and engagement campaigns to providers, beneficiaries, and community/military stakeholders.
  • Support plan growth, retention, and satisfaction through targeted, measurable communication.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

  • Partner closely with the marketing department, provider relations, plan growth team, and compliance on messaging, campaigns, and brand consistency.
  • Coordinate review and approval workflows to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and required disclaimers.

Education and Training

  • Collaborate with department leads to identify skill gaps, compliance requirements, and operational improvements.
  • Design, integrate, update and evaluate training curriculum for onboarding and regulatory compliance, including but not limited to facilitator guides, job aids, learning modules, and assessment tools.
  • Ensure all training meets healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, customer service standards, and is aligned with the organization’s mission and quality goals.
  • Proactively remain informed on healthcare laws, HIPAA, OSHA, and facility-specific compliance requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public health, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma and applicable years of experienced considered in lieu of degree.
  • 2 or more years of communications, marketing, or health plan/member-education experience.
  • Healthcare or managed care communications experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong writing, editing, and content-development skills across audiences and channels.
  • Ability to translate complex policy into clear, compliant, plain-language communications.
  • Collaboration with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders; project management of review cycles.
  • Familiarity with TRICARE/USFHP and veteran/military audiences preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government personnel security clearance as a condition of employment.

Physical Nature of the Job

Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move throughout the campus.
