Community Justice Worker (CJW) Pilot Coordinator Job Description About 603 Legal Aid: 603 Legal Aid provides free, quality civil legal services to people facing New Hampshire legal issues through compassionate advocacy, education, and pro bono representation. Position Summary: The Community Justice Worker (CJW) Pilot Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and day-to-day operations of 603 Legal Aid's Community Justice Worker (CJW) Pilot. This position will coordinate volunteer engagement, support community partnerships, manage project logistics, and assist with data collection and evaluation activities. The CJW Pilot Coordinator will work closely with the CJW Supervising Attorney, 603LA staff, and community partners to expand access to justice in underserved rural communities by embedding trained Community Justice Workers within trusted service organizations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Project Implementation and Coordination: · Support implementation of the CJW pilot in alignment with program goals, values, and grant requirements. · Coordinate CJW training sessions, meetings, and project activities. · Serve as a liaison between CJWs, partner organizations, and 603LA staff. · Assist with development and refinement of CJW workflows, tools, and materials. · Support planning activities, including partner engagement and community feedback efforts. Volunteer Coordination and Support: · Assist in recruitment and onboarding of CJW volunteers in collaboration with partner organizations. · Maintain regular communication with CJWs to provide support, resources, and updates. · Coordinate volunteer scheduling, engagement activities, and retention efforts. · Support the CJW Supervising Attorney in monitoring volunteer participation and addressing concerns. Community Partnerships: · Establish and maintain relationships with community-based partner organizations. · Support partner organizations in integrating CJWs into their service delivery models. · Respond to partner inquiries and provide information about the CJW program. · Assist in developing and facilitating partner trainings and informational sessions. Data Collection and Evaluation: · Maintain accurate records of CJW activities, client services, and program outcomes. · Support data collection and reporting requirements for grant compliance. · Assist with tracking performance metrics and compiling evaluation data. · Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through feedback and program analysis. Outreach and Education: · Assist in developing outreach materials and communications to promote the CJW program. · Participate in community outreach events and informational sessions. · Support recruitment efforts targeting potential CJW volunteers and partner organizations. Administrative Support: · Provide administrative support for CJW program operations, including scheduling, documentation, intake, and coordination. · Maintain organized and confidential project files in accordance with program and grant requirements. · Assist with internal communication and coordination across 603LA teams. Job Requirements: · Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human services, public administration, legal studies, social work, or related field (or equivalent experience); 2–4 years in program coordination, community engagement, or volunteer management. · Experience with community organizations, social service systems, or grant-funded program support (data tracking/reporting/compliance) preferred. · Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to manage multiple priorities and build collaborative relationships across teams. · Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning database systems (e.g., LegalServer). · Spanish or other language skills preferred. · Professional, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information. · Trauma-informed, flexible, and adaptable when working with low-income and diverse populations. · Self-directed and able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. · Committed to access to justice and to social, economic, and racial justice. · Willing to travel within New Hampshire as needed. Salary/Benefits: This position is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) and considered non-exempt for the purpose of federal wage/hour law. 603 Legal Aid maintains a transparent, mission-driven compensation structure designed to support internal equity and fairness. Salary is based on experience, with an anticipated range of $26.50- $27.50 /hour, which represents a coordinator salary at 2 to 4 years of experience on our pay scale. Hiring for this position is contingent upon approval and funding of a pending grant proposal, as is continued employment. This position will be hybrid, three days in the office and two days from home, after an initial 90-day introductory period.
